We are expanding rapidly and are looking for a passionate SPM Design Engineer who can convert concepts into reliable, manufacturable machines. Role Overview You will be responsible for designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation fixtures from concept to final release. You will work closely with the mechanical, electrical & robotics engineering teams to create robust designs that meet performance, cost & manufacturing requirements. Key Responsibilities Design SPMs, jigs, fixtures, end-effectors, and robotic automation stations. Develop 3D models & assemblies using SolidWorks (mandatory). Create manufacturing drawings with tolerances, BOM, GD&T. Ability to design mechanisms, linear motion, pneumatic/servo/stepper based systems. Collaborate with fabrication, machining & installation teams. Conduct DFMEA, basic stress analysis & material selection. Ensure manufacturability, assembly feasibility & cost efficiency. Participate in design reviews and documentation. Support on-site machine installation, testing & commissioning when required. Skills & Requirements Strong knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals. Experience in machine design, automation equipment or SPM design. Proficiency in SolidWorks (Essential) , AutoCAD optional. Understanding of motion systems, gearboxes, pneumatics, sensors & actuators. Sheet metal design, welded structures, machining processes. Knowledge of PLC/robot integration is a plus. Must be highly accountable, deadline-driven with problem-solving mindset. Qualifications B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Production Engineering.
