Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and ethical Financial Auditor to lead and oversee the internal audit function for our agri-manufacturing operations. This senior-level role is responsible for developing the internal audit strategy, ensuring financial compliance, and identifying control gaps across the value chain from raw material procurement to production and distribution. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of financial risk management, internal controls, and sector-specific regulatory frameworks. Role & responsibilities 1. Audit Strategy & Governance: Design and implement a comprehensive internal audit framework tailored to the agri-manufacturing environment Lead risk assessments and develop an annual audit plan covering financial, operational, and compliance risks Define audit methodologies, control checklists, and reporting protocols aligned with industry best practices 2. Financial & Operational Audits: Conduct audits of financial statements, cost structures, vendor payments, revenue recognition, and working capital Audit inventory processes including raw materials, finished goods, and wastage/spoilage Review procurement, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain controls with a focus on traceability and compliance Ensure transparency in raw material sourcing and contract farming settlements (if applicable) Evaluate capital expenditure (CapEx) controls, plant operations, and cost efficiency initiatives 3. Internal Controls & Compliance: Assess and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting Monitor compliance with local tax laws, industry regulations, and international standards (if exports involved) Identify fraud risks, policy violations, or misappropriation of assets and lead internal investigations Work with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure full audit readiness 4. Reporting & Communication: Present audit findings and risk analysis to the Board, Audit Committee, and senior management Develop dashboards and audit reports with actionable recommendations and timelines Follow up on remediation plans, ensuring timely closure of audit issues Train finance, procurement, and operations teams on internal controls and compliance protocols This role requires to travel to West Africa for 7-10 days in every quarter. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce Professional certifications such as CIA , CPA , CA , or CISA are strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in financial and operational audits Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing or agri-business/audit is required Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory audits, and agri-specific compliance Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
