The Pickup Driver cum Supervisor shall be responsible for safe driving of company pickup vehicle, material movement, and basic site supervision activities including coordination with site staff, labour, vendors, and reporting to management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Driving & Vehicle ResponsibilityDrive company pickup vehicle safely and responsibly for: Material transportation Site-to-site movement Vendor pickups and deliveries Ensure vehicle cleanliness, basic maintenance, and daily checks (fuel, oil, tyres, lights). Maintain vehicle logbook including: Daily running Purpose of trip Fuel consumption Immediately report any accident, damage, or mechanical issue. B. Material Handling & LogisticsCoordinate pickup and delivery of materials from suppliers as per instructions. Ensure correct quantity and material type is received as per challan/bill. Assist in loading/unloading and ensure material safety during transit. Submit delivery challans, bills, and receipts to the office/site in-charge. C. Site Supervision DutiesAssist site engineer/supervisor in day-to-day site activities. Monitor labour presence and report daily attendance to the reporting manager. Ensure materials are properly stored and not misused at site. Coordinate between labour, vendors, and management for smooth execution. Inform management in advance about: Material shortages Site issues Delays or constraints D. Reporting & CommunicationShare daily site updates (work status, material movement, labour presence). Submit photos/videos of site progress when required. Follow instructions given by management strictly. No independent decision-making on payments, material issuance, or rate discussions. AUTHORITY & LIMITATIONSNot authorised to: Commit rates or payments Approve material quantities Make changes in scope or drawings All decisions must be approved by management. WORKING HOURSAs per site requirements and project schedule. Overtime or late hours may be required during urgent site work. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTSValid driving licence for pickup/commercial vehicle. Basic understanding of construction site activities. Ability to read basic material names and challans. Honest, disciplined, and responsible behaviour. Ability to communicate clearly with labour and management. CODE OF CONDUCTNo alcohol, tobacco, or misconduct during duty hours. Company vehicle and materials must not be used for personal work. Any misuse or negligence will invite disciplinary action.
