Company Description Nature Mates is dedicated to the welfare and conservation of wildlife with a mission to foster an ecosystem where wildlife and humans coexist harmoniously. We work on landscape and taxa-based conservation approaches, collaborating with local communities to ensure effective outcomes. Our initiatives include education on species and habitat conservation, human-animal conflict mitigation, biodiversity knowledge gathering, and community outreach programs. Role Description This is an on-site internship role located in Kolkata. The Student Intern will assist in butterfly conservation projects, including field research, community engagement, and educational outreach. Day-to-day tasks will involve data collection, conducting surveys, assisting in data curation, and contributing to biodiversity studies. Additionally, the intern will support nature education programs and participate in citizen science initiatives. Qualifications Passion for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability Research and data collection skills Flexibility and adaptability to work in various field conditions Basic knowledge of biodiversity and ecological principles Enthusiasm for participating in nature education and outreach programs Duration 6 (six) months THIS IS AN ON-SITE FIELD-BASED INTERNSHIP WHERE STUDENTS NEED TO BE AT KOLKATA FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF THE PROGRAMME. THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME.
