Native Nursery Manager

Do you have a love for plants and native flora Are you passionate about ensuring their protection We are seeking someone to join us at Ananas Native Nursery in Bangalore. The nursery was established two years ago as an extension of our ecological design firm, Ananas. Our primary focus is to comprehend and nurture the unique plant life indigenous to our region and distribute it across our projects and beyond. This full-time position offers an opportunity for individuals interested in a role that directly contributes to increasing biodiversity and conserving ecology. The job involves hands-on work, collaborating with and overseeing our on-ground team to procure, cultivate, and nurture plant species native to the Deccan region. In addition to tending to the nursery, you will collaborate with the Ananas design team to strategize suitable plantings for our various projects. Situated on land in the process of transformation into a biodiversity-rich green zone, the nursery encompasses a variety of wild zones, water bodies, and diverse agroforestry systems. This setting broadens the opportunities for your personal growth and learning in the realms of restoration and regenerative practices. While a background in botany or ecological work is advantageous, we value attributes such as energy, enthusiasm, and insatiable curiosity above all.
