National Chemical Industries (NCI) is looking for a Procurement Associate/ Mana to join its team in Thane, Maharashtra. About NCINCI was established in 1982 in Thane, India. We manufacture inorganic chemicals which are used in a variety of industries including veterinary medicines, electroplating, oral hygiene, pharmaceutical, fertilizers among others. We work with MNCs and top companies in India. We export to more than 20 countries around the world. We are a fast-paced growing company with ambitious targets over the next 5 years. The company is managed by owners from Oxford University, MIT and IIM- Ahmedabad. ResponsibilitiesThe role is for an experienced executive to join the Procurement Team On an ongoing basis collate the requirements from the internal teams (production, sales, accounts, quality control etc), procure material from approved vendors in cost effective manner and ensure that the requirements are met and closed in a timely mannerCreate POs and follow-up on all incoming materials. Establish good communication channels with all stakeholdersFind vendors domestically and internationally for each product; do a closed loop follow-ups (obtaining and testing sample); Build strong relationships with the vendorsBring efficiencies, build a strong tracking/ inventory system to get and share regular updatesNegotiate and establish better payment terms Qualifications2-5 years of work experience ideally in chemical procurement fieldGraduate in any discipline with minimum 60% passing marksGood English & Marathi communication skillsEmail writing capabilities Person should be willing to commute to Hari Niwas Circle, Thane 6 days a week.
