Role Overview The BD (Business Development) / Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and coordinating all processes related to lead generation, order intake, and fulfilment. This role works closely with the Social Media Manager for campaign alignment, contributes to WhatsApp catalog and inquiry management, follows up with customers, and ensures smooth execution from order to delivery for artisanal gifting products. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and source new leads, including inbound inquiries from social media, WhatsApp, and email. Maintain and update the WhatsApp catalogue, ensuring product information is current and visually appealing. Engage with customers to handle queries, guide them through product selection, and encourage upselling of hampers and customisations. Track order inflow across all sales channels, manage order entry, confirmations, and ensure timely follow-up. Coordinate closely with the Packaging Coordinator to ensure accurate packing, scheduled delivery, and status updates for each order. Manage post-sale customer engagement, including satisfaction follow-up, feedback solicitation, and testimonial collection. Collaborate with Marketing and Social Media Manager to develop and execute sales campaigns, festive promotions, and referral programs. Maintain records and regular reporting on lead generation, conversion rates, sales pipeline, and daily/weekly KPIs. Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, gifting partners, and repeat customers to drive business growth. Resolve customer concerns, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and empathy. Prepare necessary documentation for orders, payments, and deliverables, coordinating with accounts as needed. Required Skills Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in lead management tools, CRM platforms, and WhatsApp Business features. Ability to multitask and manage parallel sales processes under tight timelines. Negotiation, upselling, and closing skills for B2C and B2B environments. Organised approach to tracking orders, client interactions, and follow-ups. Team player; works well cross-functionally with packaging, social media, and marketing. Analytical mindset for tracking performance, customer trends, and refining sales processes. Customer-centric attitude, focused on delivering positive experiences and solving problems. Preferred Experience 1–2 years in sales, business development, or customer relationship management, preferably in retail, lifestyle, consumer goods, or gifting segment. Experience with WhatsApp Business, e-commerce platforms, and CRM/lead tracking systems.
