Job Title: Electrical Engineer – MEP Location: Salem Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Engineering / MEP Job Summary The Electrical Engineer – MEP is responsible for the design, coordination, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for building projects. The role involves close coordination with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and site teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements, safety standards, and statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities Design and review MEP electrical systems including: Power distribution systems Lighting and lighting control systems Emergency power systems (DG, UPS) Earthing and lightning protection systems Low-current systems (fire alarm, data, CCTV, access control) Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, calculations, specifications, and BOQs. Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, plumbing, civil, and architectural teams. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. Conduct site inspections in Salem and nearby project locations to ensure quality and progress. Provide technical support to site execution teams and resolve on-site issues. Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover activities. Support cost optimization and value engineering initiatives. Prepare technical reports and project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Relevant certifications or licenses (preferred).
