You will be responsible for safety electronics hardware products from requirement definition to validation with certification bodies. Your role will involve designing digital circuits, analog circuits, and microcontroller-based designs. You should have experience in board bring-up testing, prototype testing, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like PSPICE and LTSpice is required, along with proficiency in schematic capture tools like Mentor Graphics DxDesigner. You will be expected to perform MATHCAD calculations for hardware design and contribute to electronics hardware-related safety reviews. In this position, you will design multilayer boards, work on board stack-up products, and engage in planning, design, analysis, compliance/precompliance testing, and manufacturing of electronic boards and products. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines such as mechatronics and technical sales will be essential to ensure quality, meet requirements, and achieve target costs. You will conduct life cycle analysis of electronic components, propose alternatives for replacements, and generate hardware documentation including BOM, design, and test specifications. Additionally, you will handle activities post-serial launch such as change and obsolescence management. An ideal candidate would be able to perform FMEA/DFMEA analysis, take responsibility for product safety, and possess Requirement Engineering certifications like CPRE.
