You are an experienced MEP Design Engineer with a strong background in hospital and healthcare facility design. Your main responsibility will be to deliver high-quality MEP designs that comply with healthcare regulations, patient safety, energy efficiency, and operational functionality. Your key responsibilities include developing complete HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection (MEPF) designs for hospitals, from schematic to construction documentation phases. You will collaborate with architectural, structural, and medical planning teams to ensure proper MEP integration. Designing systems in adherence to NABH, NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes applicable to healthcare facilities is crucial. You will plan and design specialized areas such as Operation Theatres (OTs) with sterile ventilation, pressurization, ICUs/NICUs/PICUs, medical gas systems, clean utilities, and BMS integration for critical equipment. Ensuring provisions for infection control, negative/positive pressure zoning, HEPA filtration, and energy recovery systems is essential. Reviewing and optimizing system load calculations including heat load, water demand, and electrical load will be part of your role. Additionally, you will prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimation reports. Conducting interdisciplinary clash detection using BIM tools, preferably Revit and Navisworks, will be required.
