Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observation and Assessment: Continuously observe and document each child's progress, interests, strengths, and areas needing support. Use these observations to tailor individualized learning plans and introduce new materials or concepts when the child is ready.
  • Lesson Presentation: Present engaging and precise individual or small-group lessons using Montessori materials, guiding children to discover answers and explore concepts independently rather than providing direct instruction.
  • Guiding and Facilitating Learning: Foster independence, self-discipline, and problem-solving skills in children.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with assistant teachers, colleagues, and school administration to ensure consistency in the educational approach and support the overall school goals.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori Certification: A recognized Montessori diploma or certification from an accredited Montessori training center is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in a Montessori environment, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Montessori Philosophy: A deep understanding of Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy, methodology, and the planes of development.
  • Child Development Knowledge: Strong knowledge of child development stages and individual learning needs.
