Job Title: MongoDB Infrastructure Lead / Senior MongoDB

We are seeking a highly experienced database administrator with deep expertise in MongoDB and other open-source databases to support enterprise-scale deployments. The role involves managing complex database environments, enabling automation, supporting application migration waves, and ensuring high availability and performance across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and manage multi-data center MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters across on-prem Linux and cloud platforms.
2. Administer MongoDB databases throughout the product lifecyclefrom development to mission-critical production systems.
3. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
4. Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
5. Ensure database security, including audit, encryption at rest, backup/recovery, and access control.
6. Plan, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability database environments.
7. Independently analyze and resolve issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
8. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes for operational efficiency and cost optimization.
9. Provide support for critical production systems and participate in scheduled maintenance and release deployments.
10. Share domain and technical expertise, mentor peers, and contribute to cross-training initiatives.
11. Collaborate directly with end customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience in MongoDB administration within enterprise environments.
2. Experience managing multiple database servers and sharded clusters.
3. Strong understanding of database health validation and monitoring practices.
4. Proven experience in database migrations, especially in support of application migration waves.
5. Ability to validate and assist in enabling automated capabilities for DBMS configuration and management.
6. Skilled in provisioning, building, configuring, patching, and maintaining MongoDB clusters.
7. Experience in vendor engagement and triage support to remediate issues during migrations.
