Role Overview: As a MongoDB Administrator at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability of MongoDB clusters through replication and sharding. You will be responsible for performing regular health checks and capacity planning to scale MongoDB instances efficiently. Additionally, you will analyze query performance, optimize queries using various types of indexes, and conduct index maintenance to ensure efficient query execution. Implementing automated backup strategies and testing disaster recovery plans will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure high availability of MongoDB clusters through replication and sharding - Perform regular health checks and capacity planning for scaling MongoDB instances - Analyze query performance and optimize queries using indexes (single, compound, TTL, text, hashed, wildcard) - Perform index maintenance and monitoring for efficient query execution - Implement automated backup strategies using mongodump/mongorestore, MongoDB Atlas backup, or Ops Manager - Test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of failure Qualifications Required: - 4-12 years of experience as a Mongo DB Administrator - Experience in implementing MongoDB authentication and authorization (Role-Based Access Control - RBAC) - Proficiency in managing TLS/SSL encryption, auditing, and logging for security compliance - Experience in managing sharded clusters for horizontal scaling and setting up MongoDB replica sets for fault tolerance - Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, MongoDB Ops Manager, etc. - Ability to automate administrative tasks using scripts (Python, Bash) Additional Details about Capgemini: Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner with a strong focus on accelerating organizations" transition to a digital and sustainable world.
