Job Description

Role Overview
  • Position Title: Module Design Engineer - ECU Electronics / Hardware Design Engineer
  • Domain: Automotive / Off-Highway / Powertrain Electronics
  • Core Objective: Design, develop, simulate, and verify hardware modules and printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic control units from concept to production release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Translation: Analyze system-level product requirements and convert them into detailed hardware specifications.
  • Circuit Design & Schematic Capture: Design analog, digital, and power electronics circuits for ECUs (including power supplies, microcontrollers/MPUs, and communication interfaces like CAN/LIN).
  • Simulation & Analysis: Perform circuit simulations, worst-case circuit analysis (WCA), and component/datasheet comparisons.
  • PCB Layout & Integration: Collaborate with layout engineers on PCB stack-up, component placement, and thermal/mechanical constraints; handle hardware-software integration.
  • Verification & Testing: Prepare test plans, execute board-level bring-up and troubleshooting, and validate designs against reliability and electrical standards.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with international EMI/EMC (Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility) and environmental reliability standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain schematic documentation, Bill of Materials (BOM), design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), an
