Sr. Network Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and manage our network infrastructure and data center systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking, Linux systems, fiber connectivity, distributed storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems. Responsibilities: Configure and maintain L1/L2 network switches, routers, and firewalls Install and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling and connectivity Administer and monitor Linux-based production systems Set up and manage distributed storage systems (e.g., NFS, GlusterFS, MooseFS) Implement backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies Use monitoring tools for hardware health and performance tracking Oversee data center infrastructure, layout planning, and documentation Collaborate with DevOps and AI infrastructure teams for seamless operations Perform regular system and security audits Maintain SOPs and network documentation Required Skills and Qualifications: 7–10 years of hands-on experience in network/system engineering Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF Proficiency in Linux administration and hardware troubleshooting Experience with fiber optics, cabling, and network testing tools Familiarity with distributed storage systems Strong knowledge of backup systems and disaster recovery planning Experience with hardware monitoring tools Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field Employment Type: Full-time | On-site Salary: Based on experience and industry standards How to Apply: Email your updated resume to hr@modelslab.com or apply directly via Indeed.
