Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Ship Designer to join our engineering team in the shipbuilding industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models for ship structures, systems, and outfitting. This role is crucial in supporting the design and construction of various types of vessels by ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant technical documentation throughout the design lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Create and develop 2D/3D CAD drawings , models, and layouts for ship structures, hulls, outfitting, piping, machinery, and electrical systems using tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA Marine, ShipConstructor, or CADMATIC. Translate concepts and engineering requirements into production-ready drawings and technical specifications . Work closely with naval architects, marine engineers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with standards. Assist in the development of general arrangement (GA) drawings , structural drawings, system schematics, and equipment layouts. Ensure all designs conform to classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register) and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., SOLAS, IMO). Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, or construction staff. Maintain and update design databases, drawing registries, and document control systems. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and design change processes. Coordinate with procurement and production departments to ensure material compatibility and manufacturability. Provide technical support during construction, outfitting, and commissioning phases of shipbuilding. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering , or related technical field. Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in ship design or marine engineering, preferably in a shipyard or design office. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, AVEVA Marine, ShipConstructor, FORAN, or CADMATIC). Strong understanding of ship structures, compartmentation, marine systems, and materials used in shipbuilding. Familiarity with international maritime regulations and classification society requirements. Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to oversee and manage the quality assurance functions in our shipbuilding operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering or ship construction, with a deep understanding of industry regulations, classification society standards, and quality management systems. This role is critical to ensuring our vessels are built to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the shipyard's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations , classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register), and customer requirements. Lead and manage QA teams to conduct inspections, audits, and testing across all phases of ship construction, including hull fabrication, outfitting, mechanical, and electrical installations. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Project Management teams to identify quality issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Develop and manage inspection and test plans (ITPs) for each vessel under construction. Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance; ensure that materials, components, and services meet required standards. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain documentation, including QA procedures, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality records. Train and mentor QA staff and promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence across the shipyard. Participate in customer and third-party audits; represent the company during inspections and quality reviews. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or a related field. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within the shipbuilding, offshore, or heavy marine fabrication industry. Proven experience managing QA/QC teams in a shipyard environment. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 , IMO regulations , SOLAS , MARPOL , and other maritime standards. Familiarity with classification society rules and procedures (e.g., DNV, ABS, BV, Lloyd’s). Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) , welding inspections, and coating systems is a strong asset. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, quality management software, and document control systems.
