Mobile Automation QA Engineer

As a Mobile Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for mobile applications using tools such as Appium, Cucumber, and Java. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing the mobile test automation framework to support ongoing testing needs. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers is essential to understand application features and testing requirements. You will be expected to write and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts aligned with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices. Analyzing test results, identifying bugs, and ensuring timely resolution through issue tracking systems like JIRA will be part of your daily tasks. Integration of test automation into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI is crucial to ensure application quality and performance through regression testing, functional testing, and UI validation. Your role will also involve contributing to best practices in test automation and quality assurance. Required qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation using Appium, strong knowledge of BDD frameworks (especially Cucumber), proficiency in Java programming for automation scripts, experience in testing native and hybrid mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms, familiarity with mobile device testing tools, and a solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies. Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and collaboration skills are desired traits for this role. Nice-to-have skills include experience with TestNG or JUnit, familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured, experience with cloud device farms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs, and knowledge of mobile app build tools like Gradle or Xcode.
