What We're Looking For

Actively uses AI coding tools Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude — as a primary development accelerator every day, not occasionally

Comfortable integrating with GenAI APIs in production — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock at a working, hands-on level

Understands prompt engineering fundamentals — writes reliable prompts, manages context windows, handles edge cases, and structures outputs for downstream use

Knows that LLM output is non-deterministic — designs AI-augmented features with validation, fallbacks, and graceful degradation built in from the start

Can evaluate AI cost and latency trade-offs per feature and make pragmatic, justified decisions on model selection

Uses AI coding tools for React Native development as a daily workflow — not just for web

Has integrated an AI API in at least one real or personal mobile project — understands the mobile-specific challenges (latency, battery, connectivity)

Solid React Native experience — has at least one live, production mobile app to show

Understands mobile-specific concerns at a practical level — permissions, background tasks, push notifications, offline local storage

Can contribute meaningfully to Node.js backend API development — this is not a mobile-only role

Takes direction well from the Senior Mobile Engineer while showing initiative on owned features and surfacing issues proactively

What the Job Entails

Build mobile features alongside the Senior Mobile Engineer — logbook, shift management, notifications, and earnings view

Write tests for mobile features and support the QA Engineer during mobile testing phases

Contribute to backend API endpoints where required

Support app store build, device testing, and release processes

Participate in all sprint ceremonies and contribute to estimation
