Job Overview
At Atigro, we are building an advanced AI-powered product to integrate with ERP systems for enterprise clients. Our mission is to improve enterprise productivity through secure, high-performance AI assistants delivering accurate, actionable insights.
We seek a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python, Django, REST API, and database expertise to develop scalable enterprise solutions. You'll work with a global team in a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by a large organization.
Key Responsibilities

Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable Python/Django applications supporting AI-powered ERP workflows.

* APIs & Integrations: Develop secure REST APIs and integrate third-party services, including external LLM inference APIs.

* Database Management: Design and optimize complex relational databases for performance, integrity, and scalability.

* Security: Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, object-level permissions, and API security.

* Performance: Optimize queries, asynchronous tasks, background processing, and complex business logic.

* Deployment: Manage cloud deployments, CI/CD, application reliability, and technical documentation.

* Testing: Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, including Selenium.

* Collaboration & Innovation: Work with global, primarily native English-speaking teams (US, Canada, UK) to deliver robust AI-driven enterprise applications.
Required Technical Skills

* Python: Advanced OOP, data structures, algorithms, and complex problem-solving.

* Django & DRF: ORM, serializers, middleware, authentication, permissions, and API development.

* Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL, advanced SQL, indexing, transactions, migrations, and query optimization.

* REST APIs: Architecture, integrations, validation, error handling, versioning, and performance.

* Security: JWT, OAuth 2.0, RBAC, object-level access control, OWASP, and secure data handling.

* DevOps: Linux, Docker, Nginx, Gunicorn/Uvicorn, Git, CI/CD, AWS/Azure.

* Backend Tools: Redis, Celery, caching, background jobs, and logging.

* Testing: Pytest, unit/integration testing, Selenium, and API debugging.

* Communication: Excellent written and spoken English for distributed, client-facing collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of backend development with substantial hands-on Django experience.

* Experience building enterprise-grade applications and large-scale backend systems.

* Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and database optimization.

* Experience with complex business logic, concurrent operations, and high-volume data.

* Ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend modules.

* Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and technical ownership skills.

* Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

* Production experience integrating AI services with software systems.

Note: This is primarily a backend engineering position. Frontend and AI/ML development expertise are not required; AI integration experience is an advantage.
