Job description: The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective parents and students through the admission process, providing accurate information about the school’s curriculum, facilities, and policies, and ensuring a smooth and positive admission experience. The role demands strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to help the school achieve its enrolment goals. Key Responsibilities Handle inquiries from prospective parents and provide detailed information about the school, curriculum, facilities, and admission procedures. Counsel parents and students on educational programs, school policies, fee structures, and academic opportunities. Coordinate and conduct school tours for parents and students. Manage the end-to-end admission process, including distribution, collection, and verification of application forms and documents. Follow up with parents via calls, emails, or meetings to ensure timely completion of admission formalities. Maintain and update student admission records in school databases/ERP systems. Support marketing and promotional activities related to student enrolment (open houses, seminars, school events). Work closely with the Principal, Headmistress and administration to align admissions with school policies and targets. Provide regular reports on inquiries, applications, conversions, and admission status. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or a related field. Prior experience in counselling, admissions, or customer service (preferably in an educational institution). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with parents and students effectively. Strong persuasion and presentation skills. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and school ERP/CRM systems. Fluency in English and local language(s). Work Environment School-based, parent-facing role. Requires frequent interaction with parents, students, faculty, and external stakeholders. May involve extended hours during peak admission seasons.
