Job Role: Jr. Finance Associate Experience: 2 Years Key Responsibilities: ● Prepare month-end journals to support financial close processes. ● Develop and maintain financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards. ● Reconcile intercompany balances and manage adjustments as needed. ● Perform balance sheet reconciliations and revaluations to ensure financial accuracy. ● Manage and oversee the reconciliation of client money accounts, ensuring compliance with CASS (Client money) regulations. ● Review and approve invoices while ensuring accuracy and proper authorization. ● Process payments in adherence to internal financial controls and compliance requirements. ● Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reviews, including cash and trade balances. ● Maintain and manage the general ledger to ensure accurate transaction recording and reporting. ● Assist in the preparation and submission of CMAR (Client Money & Asset Return) reports for FCA compliance. ● Support MIF (Markets in Financial Instruments) reporting requirements and regulatory obligations. ● Assist in the preparation of MI (Management Information) reports for senior finance teams. ● Ensure compliance with all CASS policies and procedures by supporting continuous improvements and adherence to guidelines. ● Maintain and update financial policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulations. ● Manage documentation and records necessary for audits and regulatory inspections. ● Support internal teams in preparing for external audits and regulatory reviews. Qualifications & Experience: ● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role. ● Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements. ● Experience with financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, and statutory audits. ● Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools. ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
