Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer – Pricing Validation

Position Summary -

We are looking for a mid-level QA Engineer with strong automation experience who can also perform manual testing when required. The resource will support a pricing-validation function that receives pricing data through a feed from PROS.

The candidate will be responsible for validating pricing business rules, data accuracy, system calculations, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.

Key Responsibilities -

• Understand pricing requirements, business rules, calculations, and data flows.
• Validate pricing data received through the PROS feed.
• Design and execute automated and manual test scenarios.
• Test pricing rules, discounts, taxes, fees, effective dates, and product configurations.
• Compare expected and actual pricing results and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop, maintain, and execute reusable automation scripts.
• Validate source and target data using SQL and database queries.
• Identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and clearly document findings.
• Work closely with business users, developers, product owners, and other QA team members.
• Support defect triage, release validation, and production verification.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Skills -

• Strong hands-on QA automation experience.
• Ability to perform detailed manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience validating complex business rules and calculations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• API and backend-testing experience.
• SQL and database-validation knowledge.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or a comparable automation tool.
• Experience with Postman, REST Assured, or similar API-testing tools.
• Understanding of data feeds, system integrations, and upstream/downstream data flows.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, or comparable test-management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned testing activities.

Preferred Experience -

• Previous experience testing pricing, billing, revenue, payments, or financial applications.
• Experience working with PROS or another enterprise pricing platform.
• Experience with data-driven automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD-integrated automated testing.
