About the Role
Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Power Apps includes both Canvas and Model-Driven applications; Model-Driven apps are built around a Dataverse data model, while Canvas apps provide greater control over the user interface and can connect to multiple data sources through connectors.learn.microsoft+1
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy enterprise-grade
Power Apps
solutions using both Canvas Apps
and Model-Driven Apps
. - Create intuitive, accessible, and responsive user experiences aligned with UX/UI and Microsoft design standards.
- Design and manage
Microsoft Dataverse
tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, security roles, and data policies. - Build complex, multi-stage
Power Automate
cloud flows and desktop flows to automate business processes and integrate disparate systems. - Implement and configure
Microsoft Copilot
, Copilot Studio
, and AI Builder
to enable conversational agents, intelligent document processing, predictive insights, and AI-driven automation. - Develop and configure OOTB and custom connectors to integrate Power Platform solutions with external REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and third-party systems.
- Lead migration of legacy solutions, including SharePoint lists, InfoPath forms, and SharePoint Designer workflows, to modern Power Platform-based solutions.
- Optimize existing applications, flows, data models, and integrations for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Embed Power BI reports and interactive dashboards within Power Apps to provide real-time operational and business insights.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and post-deployment validation.
- Prepare technical design documents, solution estimates, deployment plans, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, application developers, IT operations, information security, and data teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Provide tier-3 application support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Follow Power Platform ALM practices, including solution management, environment strategy, source control, and release deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience developing
Power Apps Canvas Apps
and Model-Driven Apps
. - Expertise in
Microsoft Dataverse
, including table design, relationships, business rules, security roles, and data modeling. - Advanced experience building and troubleshooting
Power Automate
cloud flows and desktop flows. - Practical experience with
Copilot Studio
, Microsoft Copilot, and/or AI Builder
for AI-enabled automation and conversational solutions. - Strong knowledge of Power Fx, expressions, delegation, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating Power Apps with REST APIs, custom connectors, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
- Experience migrating or modernizing SharePoint-based solutions, including SharePoint lists, InfoPath forms, and SharePoint Designer workflows.
- Experience embedding Power BI dashboards and reports within Power Apps.
- Solid understanding of solution architecture, ALM, managed/unmanaged solutions, environments, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile delivery environment.
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft certifications such as
PL-200
, PL-400

, AZ-204
, or equivalent. - Experience with Power Pages, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams integration, and Azure services.
- Knowledge of information security, data privacy, DLP policies, and Power Platform governance.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for Power Platform deployments.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, accessibility standards, and mobile-first application design.
- Prior experience in enterprise digital transformation or legacy application modernization programs.
