Job Title: Design Engineer Location: Pirangut, Pune Department: Engineering / Product Development Reports to: Design Manager / Engineering Head Industry: Automotive, Industrial, Semi-conductors etc ________________________________________ Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our product development team, responsible for designing and developing high-quality spare parts for the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD skills, knowledge of automotive components, and a passion for innovation and precision engineering. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Design and develop 2D/3D models of automotive spare parts using CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD, etc.). Create technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing. Reverse engineering of OEM parts for aftermarket compatibility. Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and functionality of designs. Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress analysis (basic FEA if required). Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new components. Ensure compliance with industry standards (AIS, BIS, ISO/TS 16949). Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and change management records. Provide engineering support to manufacturing for product troubleshooting and improvements. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. 1–3 years of experience in automotive component design (freshers with strong academic projects can be considered). Proficiency in CAD tools: SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD. Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawing standards, and manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, etc.). Basic knowledge of material science and failure analysis. ________________________________________ Preferred Skills: Experience in aftermarket spare parts or reverse engineering. Exposure to ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and documentation abilities.
