We are an OEM manufacturing partner (Original Equipment Manufacturer), of a UK based world's leading material testing manufacturer, who is a specialist of Touch Screen based, PC controlled Material Testing Machines that are exported to 90 countries around the world. We are seeking passionate and driven Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to join our precision manufacturing team, specializing in CNC machining, VMC operations, and sheet metal fabrication . This is an excellent opportunity for fresh engineering graduates to gain hands-on experience in a modern manufacturing environment and build a solid foundation for a career in the engineering and fabrication industry. We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering and Operations to lead our CNC/VMC machining and production unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision manufacturing, plant operations, and team management, with a hands-on approach to quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) metrics. Key Responsibilities : Engineering : Oversee all VMC and CMC machining operations, tool selection, and program optimization. Lead the process design, CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens), and tooling strategies to improve cycle time and reduce scrap. Implement engineering change management (ECM) and continuous process improvements. Manage preventive maintenance schedules and machine uptime. Operations & Production : Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production across CNC/VMC machines to meet customer delivery timelines. Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO/TS certifications) and drive root cause analysis for defects. Optimize resource utilization including manpower, materials, and machine capacity. Collaborate with design, quality, and procurement teams for seamless execution. People & Leadership : Lead, train, and motivate shopfloor supervisors, engineers, and operators. Drive a culture of safety, discipline, and performance accountability. Liaise with top management to align production KPIs with business goals. Qualification: Mandatory: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering Preferred / Value Add: M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering MBA in Operations / Industrial Management / Supply Chain Key Requirements: 12+ years of experience in CNC/VMC-based component manufacturing. Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, cycle-time reduction, and CAD/CAM systems. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and ISO/TS standards. Proven track record of managing production and engineering teams in a factory setup.
