Investigating accidents and environmental incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental health and safety Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization Ensure the plant meets all local, national, and international regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit required documentation, reports, and permits to regulatory authorities. Prepare a robust and follow Emergency preparedness and response. Enforce safety requirements for third-party contractors and service providers. Conduct safety inductions, permit-to-work systems, and audits for vendors and visitors. Monitor compliance of contract workers with safety regulations and PPE usage. Promote a positive safety culture through leadership engagement, recognition programs, and behaviour-based safety initiatives. Conduct safety talks, toolbox meetings, and awareness campaigns. Foster employee involvement and ownership in safety initiatives. Academic and Experience In order to be considered for this position the employee must have a seniority of at least 18 months in their current job with a minimum of 10 years in the implementation of safety systems. Degree or Diploma in engineering, or B.Sc. along with relevant experience in Industrial Safety, or Diploma in Industrial safety from a recognized body.

Some of the technical skills expected for this role include a thorough knowledge of ROC & CLB compliances, detailed understanding of Factory and Labor Law, familiarity with various forms and compliance due dates, proficiency in drafting Board minutes, and excellent communication skills. Role & responsibilities Build constructive relationships/negotiations between all stakeholders both internally and externally (government bodies (Labour & Factories), other industry bodies, local administration, politicians, villagers, Media etc.) in alignment with organization business goals. Develop and implement strategies to prevent industrial disputes and promote industrial harmony. Handle union negotiations, wage settlements, and collective bargaining agreements. Identification and implementation of internal/external risks/trends, resolve disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, show-cause notices and submit report to management. Effectively manage contract labour and plant security based on agreement and organization Values. Plan and Execute CSR projects based on the legal requirements to improve organization image and develop local communities Compliance and monitoring of all applicable statutory obligations (Factory Act / State & Central Pollution Control Board / Fire / CGWA / Weight & Measurement, Wage regulations, Safety standards, PF, ESIC, Contract labour, Apprentice and other applicable acts related to industry). Stay updated about legislative changes and industry best practices to mitigate risks. Maintain updated records of all statutory registers, returns and ensure timely filings and audits. Conduct and participate in periodic internal/external audits to assess risk and compliance in the Industrial Relations & labour domain. Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and analysis on Industrial Relations indicators for management review. Coordinate with HR/Legal team to resolve any dispute. Enhance management and labour knowledge on Industrial Relations related issues. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in human resources, Labour Relations, Business Management or related fields MBA or LLB (preferred) with 8+ years in IR/ER within manufacturing industry in related areas: Experience in Collective Bargaining Negotiations Expertise in Indian labour laws and local regulations Experience in a multicultural, diverse workforce setup is preferred.
