Job Summary: As an Overseas Education Counselor, you will be responsible for guiding students through the entire process of studying abroad. You will provide advice on selecting the right courses, universities, and countries, and assist with applications, visa processes, and pre-departure formalities. Your goal is to ensure a smooth transition for students looking to pursue higher education abroad and ensure they make well-informed decisions. Key Responsibilities: • Counseling & Guidance: Provide expert advice to students and parents regarding educational opportunities abroad, including university programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities. • Application Support: Assist students in completing university and visa applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. • Visa Guidance: Provide step-by-step guidance through the visa application process, ensuring timely submission and adherence to government regulations. • University Research: Stay updated on the latest trends in international education, including new courses, programs, and scholarships. • Test Preparation & Recommendations: Advise students on necessary standardized tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT) and help them with preparation resources. • Pre-departure Assistance: Help students prepare for their journey abroad, including accommodation arrangements, travel plans, and cultural orientation. • Building Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with universities and educational institutions overseas. • Market Research: Monitor and assess the latest changes in overseas education, scholarships, and visa policies in various countries. • Administrative Support: Maintain detailed records of all student applications, communications, and progress in a CRM system. Qualifications & Skills: • Education: A bachelors degree in any field (preferably in Education, Counseling, or related fields). • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in counseling or guiding students for overseas education or related fields. • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global education systems, admission requirements, and visa processes. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and universities. • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in handling applications, documents, and processes. • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to resolve issues and offer solutions effectively during the application and admission processes. • Customer Service Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude. • Language Skills: Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus). Preferred Qualifications:• Familiarity with the education systems in major study destinations (e.g., US, UK, Australia, Canada, etc.). • Experience working with educational agencies or institutions in an advisory capacity.
