Role & responsibilities :- Provide direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients. Monitor, record, and interpret vital signs and physiological parameters (e.g., ECG, SPO, ABG, CVP). Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed. Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures (intubation, central line insertion, suctioning, etc.). Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other life-support equipment. Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control practices at all times. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patients conditions or emergencies. Assist physicians during rounds, procedures, and resuscitations (CPR, Code Blue situations). Accurately document nursing care, observations, and interventions in patient records. Maintain shift-wise reports, handover notes, and incident reports. Update and communicate patient progress and concerns to the medical team and relatives (as per policy). Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families regarding care plans. Educate patients and families on post-ICU/ICCU care, procedures, and discharge instructions. Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and cleanliness of ICU/ICCU equipment. Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the concerned department. Maintain stock of emergency drugs, consumables, and supplies. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment. Collaborate effectively with doctors, physiotherapists, technicians, and other nurses. Participate in training programs, clinical rounds, and continuing education. Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards. Take part in quality improvement initiatives and audits. Preferred candidate profile Candidate should have 2 years experience in ICU & ICCU.
