Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models for complete systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor and SolidWorks
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications and design requirements to produce accurate manufacturing drawings
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design meet functional, safety and manufacturing standards
• Prepare bill of materials and maintain drawings documentation for production and quality control
• Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes and feedback from the engineering team
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines and applicable codes.
• Assist in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability
• Maintain organized files and version control for all drafting projects

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering. Bachelors degree preferred
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of PDM systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical components, assemblies and industrial equipment design principles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering and production teams
• Minium 2-3 years of experience in mechanical drafting within an industrial or manufacturing environment
