Mechanical Design Engineer: Piping

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on piping systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing piping layouts and systems, ensuring they are functional, safe, and cost-effective. This role requires proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD Plant 3D for creating detailed piping designs and layouts for industrial projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and model piping systems and layouts using Solidworks and AutoCAD Plant 3D. Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and schematics for piping installations. Conduct stress analysis and ensure the integrity of piping systems under various conditions. Collaborate with other engineering teams (civil, electrical) to integrate piping systems into overall designs. Perform calculations for material strength, pressure drops, and flow rates. Prepare and review technical documentation and specifications. Ensure designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Support procurement, installation, and commissioning of piping systems. Conduct design reviews and make recommendations for design improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 1-8 years of experience in piping design or related fields. Strong proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD Plant 3D. Knowledge of piping codes and standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
