Mechanical Design Engineer

About Us: Ornate Inc. specializes in the design and fabrication of wrought iron gates, railings, and luxury stair railings . We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer who can create precise shop drawings , develop new designs when required, and prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and material requirement lists . Key Responsibilities: Create detailed shop drawings from existing designs or develop new designs when required. Use SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for fabrication and procurement. Ensure material optimization and suggest alternatives if needed. Collaborate with architects, fabricators, and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable . Revise drawings as per client feedback or manufacturing constraints. Ensure all technical drawings adhere to industry standards and guidelines. Requirements: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other relevant CAD software. Experience in metal fabrication drawings is highly preferred. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings . Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines . Experience in preparing BOM, BOQ, and material requirement lists . Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing / assembly company Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and material properties . Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
