Marine Engineer-Product Associate

Qualification: Electro Technical Officer (ETO) with sailing experience on Main Fleet or Offshore Fleet

Job Summary

The Product Associate is responsible for the implementation, onboarding, support, and maintenance of marine digital products including Smart Vessel Management System (SVMS), Vlog360 Electronic Logbook (e-Logbook), and Viswa Cylinder Condition Monitoring (VCCM). The role involves close coordination with vessels, clients, vendors, service engineers, and internal development teams to ensure seamless deployment, integration, and operation of digital solutions across the fleet.

Key ResponsibilitiesSmart Vessel Management System (SVMS)

• Collect vessel documents and prepare setup files for system implementation.
• Conduct vessel surveys and define system specifications.
• Coordinate with service providers for commissioning of flowmeters, HMI panels, and data integration activities.
• Verify hardware installation, connectivity, sensor inputs, and DAQ unit outputs onboard vessels.
• Prepare AMS Mapping and Seeding Sheets and coordinate with development teams for application deployment.
• Install required software, drivers, and applications.
• Validate data accuracy in databases and SVMS user interfaces.
• Coordinate with internet service providers for network configuration and cloud connectivity.
• Train vessel crew on SVMS features and prepare vessel-specific user manuals.

Vlog360 Electronic Logbook (e-Logbook)

• Create vessel profiles and coordinate system setup with clients and vendors.
• Manage server installation, IP whitelisting, communication ports, and portal configuration.
• Configure ship-specific reporting portals and maintain crew and vessel data.
• Provide user training and support to vessel personnel.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate solutions with vendors.
• Monitor and update e-Logbook reporting status for shore management.

Viswa Cylinder Condition Monitoring (VCCM)

• Coordinate procurement and delivery of VCCM equipment.
• Facilitate vessel onboarding and profile creation with vendors.
• Manage user credentials, software setup, and dashboard configuration.
• Monitor monthly report submissions and coordinate technical reviews.
• Distribute feedback reports to vessels and shore management.
• Provide ongoing technical support and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical, automation, and monitoring systems.
• Understanding of marine sensors, data acquisition systems (DAQ), networking, and cloud-based applications.
• Experience in software installation, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and training abilities.
• Willingness to travel onboard vessels as required.

Preferred Experience

• Sailing experience as Electro Technical Officer (ETO).
• Exposure to vessel performance monitoring systems, electronic logbooks, condition monitoring systems, or marine digitalization projects.
• Familiarity with marine IT infrastructure, networking, and remote support environments.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
