As a Purchase Engineer at an Automation Industry based in Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and services meet quality expectations, are delivered on time, and align with customer needs. You will play a key role in developing and nurturing relationships with suppliers, implementing metrics for improvement, and providing necessary reporting. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with supplier diversity requirements and conducting continuous training for the procurement team to stay updated on business situations affecting procurement policy. Your main responsibilities will include coordinating the purchase process for technology-related expenses, managing vendor relationships to ensure prompt service and issue resolution, tracking assets and orders, and monitoring spend forecasts against actual spend. Strong communication and team management skills are essential for this role, along with proficiency in English (both verbal and written). Fluency in other languages would be advantageous.
