Job Title Cognos Admin & Developer and Support Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM Cognos Admin & Developer Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team, delivering continuous 24/7 production support for enterprise BI environments. The role involves end-to-end administration of Cognos environments, deployment of reports, user and security management, troubleshooting critical production issues, and ensuring high availability of Cognos services. The candidate will work in a global support model , providing Level 2/3 support and ensuring seamless delivery of BI reports, dashboards, and analytics to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cognos administration and development , an in-depth understanding of BI platforms, proactive monitoring skills, and the ability to provide operational excellence in a 24/7 service delivery setup. Location Pune, Hinjewadi, Phase-3/Remote Professional Experience Design, build, and optimize Cognos BI solutions using Framework Manager models, advanced reports, dashboards, and scorecards. Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of IBM Cognos Analytics environments across distributed platforms. Manage Cognos services, security, and access controls , including LDAP integration and content store backup/restore. Monitor scheduled reports, troubleshoot failures, and perform performance tuning for faster and optimized report delivery. Collaborate with business teams and project managers to deploy new reports, manage reporting packages, and support production incidents. Provide L2/L3 support for Cognos applications : root cause analysis, incident resolution, problem management, and escalations. Implement new releases, hotfixes, and migrations while ensuring minimal business disruption . Manage integrations with external applications/data sources to deliver business-critical analytics. Actively participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support , ensuring critical SLAs are met. Follow ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management in a managed services framework. Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics 11.x or Cognos BI 10.x in production environments. Strong knowledge of Framework Manager modeling, Dynamic Cubes, and Data Modules . Expertise in advanced reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and Report Studio development . Proven experience with Cognos Administration : user/server administration, deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring, and tuning. Strong SQL and RDBMS experience (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Snowflake, etc.). Working knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouse concepts. Experience in managed support environments following ITIL/incident/change/problem management practices. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with proven experience in resolving high-severity incidents. Ability to perform under pressure within a multi-tier global support model . Should have good understanding of full IT recruitment life-cycle in the US Market with exposure to US Tax system (W2, 1099, Corp to Corp Etc.) and US Employment Laws. Monitor Conrep/(Applicant tracking System), database activity which includes quality assurance on data entered by the recruiters including job requisitions, job descriptions, applicant resumes, candidate interview plans, interview feedback and communication with the candidate. Build a pipeline of candidates for core technical positions in Conrep.
