Manager SW Test Development Engineering

As a part of Dexcom Corporation, a pioneer in continuous glucose monitoring, you will be joining the Mobile Apps V&V team dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile applications supporting life-changing diabetes technology. Your role will involve leading the mobile test automation strategy, providing technical direction and mentorship to a team of test engineers, and identifying software project risks to ensure robust coverage and mitigation. Your expertise in continuous delivery, trunk-based development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving technical excellence and shaping the future of mobile test engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the mobile test automation strategy and execution for cloud-native mobile components. - Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of test engineers for test case and test framework development. - Identify software project risks and define test strategies for robust coverage and mitigation. - Champion innovation and continuous improvement in test engineering practices. - Stay hands-on with technical design, coding, and execution to lead by example. - Drive adoption and proficiency in tools for test management, requirements tracking, and engineering analysis. - Collaborate cross-functionally with development, product, and quality teams to align on goals and deliverables. Qualifications Required: - Proven track record in leading test automation efforts with modular test design and complex framework architecture. - Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Kotlin, Swift, Python, or Java. - Hands-on experience with mobile testing frameworks like Espresso, XCUITest, and Appium. - High level of diligence in coding, debugging, documentation, and quality assurance. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent in a fast-paced, agile environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and strategies clearly.
