As a Manager, Software Engineering in the AdTech SDKs team at Warner Bros. Discovery, you will play a crucial role in building state-of-the-art Ad technology platforms and services for Discovery + and other digital services globally. Your responsibilities include: - Demonstrating a deep understanding of a wide range of computer science concepts and providing valuable feedback to your team on technical issues. - Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and maintaining control over software development processes. - Utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively. - Leading by example and actively participating in individual contributor work to set high standards for your team. - Making sound hiring decisions, retaining, and developing top talent within your team. - Displaying the ability to make decisions for multiple development teams, showcasing your strong judgment and leadership skills. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 12 - 15 years of experience managing distributed development teams. - Proficiency in programming for Web 2.0, Android, and/or iOS mobile applications, with OTT experience considered a plus. - 5+ years of programming experience in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Swift. - A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. - Hands-on expertise in a variety of technologies spanning from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems. - Knowledge of large-scale application architecture, design, implementation, and performance tuning. - Familiarity with modern DevOps/SRE practices like CI/CD, performance monitoring, and incident management. - Strong foundation in computer science principles including object-oriented design, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
