Manager - Procurement

\Key responsibilities include (Not limited to):

• Coordinate with vendors and Purchase Executives on a day to day basis for timely delivery of materials at the site
• Source vendors in different regions and get quotations from them
• Get a blank BOQ from Tendering & Estimation after project award
• Start floating the inquiries with GFC drawings to vendors/suppliers to get competitive quantities, quotations, samples after project award
• Manage any escalations for speedy sample delivery, test certifications etc
• Check the rates with Tendering & Estimation and after their approval send samples to the site
• Get MRNs from site managers and start procuring items which are common items with rate contracts which are already approved by the management
• Check the vendor quotation against the BOQ specifications and proceed further with negotiations
• Send to Tendering & Estimation for their review and negotiate further if T&E gives a different pricing
• Track delivery of all Long Lead items and ensure that it is delivered to the site in time
• Get approvals from the billing team for all Non-Tender items and negotiate pricing on them
• Manage all escalations from Projects team and Management

Work Experience

Essential:

• Experience in working with and managing e-procurement (through ERPs) and contracts management platforms.
• Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
• Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations\.

Work Based Competencies

Essential:

• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Understanding of the Interiors industries materials procurement
• Very good prioritization skills to balance key priorities
