Power System Design Engineer

The role requires advanced technical skills in system modelling, analysis, and compliance-ready documentation for mission-critical facilities such as hyper scale data centres, utilities.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

System Studies & Analysis

• Perform

  Load Flow

  (LF)

  studies

  for

  EHV, HV,

  and

  LV networks

  to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Conduct

  Short Circuit (SC) analysis

  for fault level determination and equipment rating validation.
• Execute

  Relay Setting & Coordination studies

  to ensure selective protection across multi-voltage networks.
• Carry out

  Harmonic Studies

  to identify distortion sources and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Perform

  Earthing Calculations

  for safety, compliance, and grounding adequacy across different voltage levels.
• Conduct AC/DC

  Arc Flash Calculation

  s to assess incident energy levels and define PPE requirements.

Design & Documentation

• Develop and validate

  electrical design calculations

  and reports for EHV, HV, and LV systems.
• Prepare

  audit-ready documentation

  in line with IEEE, IEC, NFPA, and local standards.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and technical approvals.
• Collaboration & Leadership
• Work independently on

  ETAP studies

  while coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Provide technical input to project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers in power system study methodologies and compliance practices.

Desired Profile

• Bachelors/ masters degree in

  Electrical engineering or Power Systems.

• Should have

  8 to 12 years

  of experience in

  power system design

  and

  analysis

  with ex-posure to

  EHV, HV,

  and

  LV networks

  .

• Strong proficiency in

  ETAP

  with proven ability to

  perform studies independently.

• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
