Job Description

Key Activities & Responsibilities Equipment Handling & Maintenance Overseeing the operation and maintenance of critical machines in a continuous production environment. Ensuring the proper functioning of utilities like boilers, compressors, and cooling towers to maintain an uninterrupted process flow. Spare Part Management & Budgeting Tracking and managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime due to unavailability. Plant & Machinery Erection Projects Handling installation, commissioning, and startup of new machines. Ensuring that new equipment is properly integrated into the existing process with minimal disruption. Breakdown Reduction & Predictive Maintenance Analyzing recurring breakdowns and implementing corrective measures. Using data-driven approaches like vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition monitoring to predict failures before they occur. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance Procedures Implementing a structured preventive maintenance schedule to reduce unexpected failures. Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance teams to follow for faster troubleshooting. Key Performance Improvement Goals Increase Machine Availability Reduce downtime by improving maintenance efficiency. Implement real-time monitoring systems for early issue detection. Increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) Reduce the frequency of breakdowns by improving maintenance strategies. Address root causes of failures using failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA). Decrease Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) Improve troubleshooting processes to reduce repair time. Train maintenance teams on quick and effective breakdown resolutions. Keep critical spare parts readily available.
