Manager - Field Service (Transformer)

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end transformer service projects from planning to closure.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams.
• Provide technical support for

  transformer installation, commissioning, maintenance, testing, and diagnostics

  .
• Manage customer POs, vendor POs, invoicing, payments, budgets, and project documentation.
• Ensure

  site safety, ISO/GPG audits, quality, and regulatory compliance

  .
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor safety, project progress, storage, and service activities.
• Maintain service reports, timesheets, installed-base records, SAP/ERP records, and audit documentation.
• Manage customer communication, resolve technical issues, and identify future service requirements.
• Track project KPIs, risks, timelines, resources, and costs.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B.Tech Diploma in

  Electrical Engineering

  or related field.
• Experience in

  Transformer Services / Maintenance / Testing / Diagnostics

  and project management.
• Knowledge of

  DGA, transformer condition assessment, failure modes, insulation systems, and condition-based maintenance

  .
• Knowledge of

  IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE

  standards.
• Strong techno-commercial, customer management, analytical, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

• PMP or equivalent certification is desirable.
