Known for unique fabric manipulations, silver embroidery, and refined Indian craftsmanship, Malang creates luxury prêt collections for the modern woman. Role Overview We are seeking a Fabric Procurement Executive to manage end-to-end sourcing, dyeing, and development of textiles and trims for Malang. The role is crucial in ensuring the highest quality fabrics that align with our brand ethos: experimental textures, refined craftsmanship, and a pastel, contemporary aesthetic. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Procurement Identify and source high-quality fabrics (cottons, silks, organza, linen blends, etc.) aligned with Malang’s design direction. Develop strong relationships with mills, vendors, dye houses, and weavers across India. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities while maintaining brand margins. Fabric Dyeing & Development Coordinate fabric dyeing in custom shades, especially pastel tones aligned with Malang’s aesthetic. Work with dye houses to ensure accurate color matching, fastness, and finish quality. Explore new dyeing techniques that complement Malang’s fabric manipulations and embroidery. Vendor Management Build and maintain a reliable vendor database (mills, wholesalers, dye houses, embroidery units). Ensure vendors meet Malang’s standards for quality, delivery, and ethical practices. Sampling & Innovation Source swatches, samples, and fabric developments (pleating, embroidery bases, manipulations, dyeing). Track fabric trials and ensure on-time approvals. Quality & Compliance Oversee quality control of dyed fabrics, bulk fabrics, trims, and embellishments. Ensure all procurement and dyeing follow sustainable and ethical sourcing practices. Inventory & Logistics Manage stock levels of core fabrics and trims. Ensure timely delivery of fabrics for production and collections. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fashion Technology, or Supply Chain Management . 2–5 years of experience in fabric sourcing/procurement and fabric dyeing (luxury/pret wear experience preferred). Strong knowledge of Indian textile clusters, weaving, dyeing, and embroidery processes . Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and organizational skills. Eye for fabric quality, texture, color, and innovation. Ability to work closely with designers in a fast-paced creative environment.
