Maintenance Executive

Executive/ Assistant Manager

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of food processing and packaging machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure smooth functioning of washing, grading, sorting, cutting and packaging equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

2. Conveyor & Production Line Maintenance

• Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor belts, motors, gearboxes, rollers and associated drive systems.
• Ensure proper alignment, belt tension and smooth operation of conveyor systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to prevent breakdowns and production interruptions.

3. Electrical & Panel Maintenance

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical control panels, distribution panels, MCC panels and PLC-based systems.
• Handle electrical wiring, motors, starters, VFDs, sensors, relays and control circuits.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical installations and equipment.
• Identify and resolve electrical faults and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

4. Chiller & Utility Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain chillers, refrigeration systems, compressors and cold storage units.
• Ensure optimal temperature control and uninterrupted operation of cooling systems.
• Perform routine inspections and coordinate with external technicians for specialized servicing.

5. DG Set & Power Backup

• Monitor and maintain DG sets and associated electrical systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of power backup systems and conduct routine checks.
• Coordinate servicing, fuel monitoring and preventive maintenance activities.

6. Preventive Maintenance & Documentation

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and utilities.
• Maintain breakdown records, maintenance logs, spare parts inventory and service reports.
• Track recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to electrical safety, machine safety and workplace safety standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, GMP and 5S practices within the production facility.
• Ensure maintenance activities do not compromise food safety and production hygiene.

8. Vendor & Team Coordination

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment servicing and repairs.
• Support installation, commissioning and trial runs of new machinery.
• Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance activities with minimum operational disruption.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or plant maintenance, preferably in food processing, FMCG or manufacturing industries.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance of production machinery, conveyor systems, electrical panels and industrial utilities.
• Practical knowledge of chillers, refrigeration systems, compressors and DG sets.
• Knowledge of motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, electrical wiring and control panels.
• Strong troubleshooting and breakdown-handling capabilities.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning and maintenance documentation.
