We are seeking a meticulous and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Billing Executive cum Accounts Assistant. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of our financial transactions and maintaining strong client relationships. Job Summary - The Billing Executive cum Accounts Assistant will be responsible for end-to-end billing operations and providing vital support to the accounts department. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, possess strong numerical skills, and have a good understanding of basic accounting principles, including GST and TDS. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities. A. Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and generate accurate invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in a timely manner. Verify purchase orders, contracts, and agreements to ensure billing accuracy. Handle both domestic and international invoicing, applying relevant taxes (GST, TDS, etc.) correctly. Maintain and update customer master data, including pricing and terms. Coordinate with the sales and delivery teams to resolve any billing discrepancies. Manage the entire accounts receivable cycle, from invoice dispatch to payment collection. Follow up with clients on outstanding payments via email and phone calls. B. Accounts Assistance: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist in day-to-day accounting entries in Tally ERP 9 or other accounting software. Handle petty cash management and reimbursement. Prepare and reconcile bank statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support the senior accounts team during internal and statutory audits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial filing and documentation, both physically and digitally. C. GST & Compliance: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B). Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities. Assist in the reconciliation of GST data and filing of TDS returns. Help in preparing documents for GST assessments and audits. Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in billing, invoicing, and general accounting. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 is highly preferred. Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.). Hands-on experience with accounting software and billing modules. Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the Indian taxation system. Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other compliance requirements. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for client follow-ups. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
