Job Title: Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Location: Hybrid (India / Global) About MacroVision AI MacroVision AI builds AI models & solutions for real-world impact — leveraging generative AI, domain-specific modeling, automation, and data scalability to solve industrial, enterprise, and societal challenges. We are mission-driven: pushing the frontier of applied AI to deliver high-leverage, scalable solutions that create tangible value across sectors. We are member of NVIDIA Inception Program. As a founding or early senior leader, you will help define the AI core of MacroVision — its technical foundation, IP strategy, product vision, and its reputation in the research + industry community. Role Overview As Chief AI Officer, you will lead MacroVision’s technical vision for AI, drive R&D and productization of AI models and pipelines, build and mentor the AI team, and align AI strategy with business objectives. You’re a strategic thinker, a hands-on technologist, and a growth-oriented leader. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic & Visionary Leadership Define MacroVision’s AI roadmap: short-, mid-, long-term model and platform goals. Advise CEO, Board, and leadership on AI trends, risks, and opportunities. Position MacroVision AI as an innovation leader in AI research, domain adaptation, and deployment. 2. Model, Research & Product Architecture Lead the research, development, and deployment of key AI models (foundation models, domain-tuned models, multimodal systems, etc.). Oversee data pipeline design, model training workflows, MLOps, inference infrastructure, and optimization. Ensure robustness, interpretability, security, and ethical standards across AI systems. Guide IP protection: patents, model licensing, and trade secrets. 3. Team Building & Culture Build, recruit, and lead cross-disciplinary teams (researchers, ML engineers, data engineers). Mentor, set standards, and cultivate high-performance culture in AI and tech. Establish best practices in code, experiments, model governance, reproducibility. 4. Business & Go-to-Market Alignment Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Go-to-Market units to integrate AI capabilities into compelling customer solutions. Help define differentiators and technical value propositions for clients and markets. Support fundraising: create AI technical narratives, demo models, and help with technical diligence. 5. Performance, Evaluation & Metrics Set measurable AI KPIs (model accuracy improvements, latency, cost-efficiency, failure modes, etc.). Monitor and optimize AI systems in production for reliability, scalability, and cost. Generate patents, publish research, or open-source key components, where strategic. Contribute to revenue, cost savings, or operational leverage via AI — measurable impact. Qualifications Essential: 7+ years in advanced AI/ML roles (research, product, enterprise scale). Deep experience in means such as LLMs, multimodal AI, model fine-tuning, domain adaptation. Proficiency in Python, relevant ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), MLOps tooling, and scalable cloud infrastructures (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience in deploying AI at scale, handling inference optimization, latency, throughput constraints. Strong foundation in ethics, AI fairness, robustness, data privacy/security. Preferred: Master’s or PhD in AI / ML / CS / related field. Prior leadership in early-stage AI organizations (Head of AI, Chief Scientist, etc.). Publications, patents, open-source contributions in AI. Prior success in fundraising/technical due diligence contexts. Compensation & Equity Structure Phase 1 – Pre-Fundraising (Sweat Equity Phase) Compensation: Primarily via sweat equity (from MacroVision’s ESOP / founder pool). Equity Range: 0.5% – 2.0% (depending on experience, impact, stage). Vesting: Standard 4-year vesting with a 1-year cliff (or negotiated). Milestone Accelerations: Ability to accelerate vesting or bonus top-ups on major milestones (e.g., product launches, funding rounds, acquisitions). Phase 2 – Post-Fundraising Transition to base market-competitive salary aligned with funding stage and similar leadership roles. Continued eligibility for performance-based ESOP top-ups or refresh grants. Potential bonus / incentive schemes tied to AI benchmarks, IP generation, revenue, or efficiency improvements. Performance Metrics & Incentives Delivery of core AI models/products to market on schedule and within quality thresholds. Measurable business impact: revenue, cost savings, client success attributable to AI. Number and quality of patents, publications, or IP assets. Operational excellence: uptime, latency, reliability, maintainability of AI stack. Team growth, retention, mentorship, and culture indices. Role in successful fundraising, technical diligence, and investor confidence in technology. Why Join MacroVision AI? Be a foundational leader in shaping the AI soul of a high-potential, impact-driven venture. Very high upside through equity and performance incentives. Autonomy to research, innovate, publish, and build unique models and IP. Collaboration across business, product, and domain verticals to bring real-world AI solutions to life. Influence not just technology, but the overall direction, culture, and success of MacroVision AI.
