Key Responsibilities: Set up VMC machines for machining core, cavity, electrodes, and mold base components . Load and verify CNC programs from Cimatron CAM software. Install and align cutting tools, holders, and fixtures with high accuracy. Set tool offsets, work coordinates, and adjust machining parameters as per job requirements. Perform first-piece inspection using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues before handing over to machine operators. Collaborate with programmers and toolmakers to optimize cutting strategies for mold components. Ensure machines are maintained, calibrated, and cleaned before and after setup. Document setup sheets and maintain tool life records for repeatability. Follow safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workstation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating efficient toolpaths, optimizing machining strategies, and supporting production with accurate CNC programs. Key Responsibilities Create, verify, and optimize CNC programs using Cimtron CAM software. Develop toolpaths for mold bases, precision components, and complex 2D/3D machining. Review 2D drawings and 3D models to determine machining strategy. Coordinate with design, machining, and production teams to ensure manufacturability. Select appropriate tools, feeds, and speeds for different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.). Troubleshoot machining issues and provide timely solutions. Maintain program documentation and ensure process standardization. Required Skills & Experience 3–5+ years of experience as a CAM Programmer. Strong proficiency in Cimtron software (mandatory). Experience in mold base manufacturing or precision machining preferred. Good understanding of CNC milling, drilling, and finishing operations. Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
