CMM Operator Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspection and Measurement: Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment as per specifications and engineering drawings. Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models for measurement requirements. Measure complex geometries to ensure part conformity and precision. 2. Programming and Operation: Create, edit, and troubleshoot CMM programs in Calypso. Operate and maintain CMM equipment for efficient workflow. Conduct first article inspections and generate FAI reports. 3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze measurement results and document deviations from specified tolerances. Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure data accuracy. Communicate findings with quality, production, and engineering teams. 4. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular calibration of CMM machines to maintain accuracy. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or issues. Role & responsibilities Program complex components for 2 -axis and 3-axis CNC machines using CAM software (Mastercam, Siemens NX, etc.) Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for precision machining. Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T. Optimize toolpaths for cycle time reduction and surface finish quality. Work closely with machinists and engineers to validate and troubleshoot NC programs. Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and make on-machine adjustments when necessary. Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and revisions. Experience with aerospace, high-precision components is an advantage. Preferred candidate profile 4 -10 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming, SIEMENS CONTROL Strong expertise in CAM software like Mastercam, Siemens NX, In-depth understanding of machining processes, cutting tool selection, and fixture design Able to work independently and collaboratively with the toolroom or production teams Knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring tools is essential
