Position: Ophthalmologist (Full-Time) Location: Dharmanagar, Tripura Organization: Shrestha Eye & Aesthetic Institute (Under Maa Sarada Trust) Qualification: MS / DNB /Diploma Ophthalmology Experience: Freshers & Experienced Both Can Apply About Us Shrestha Eye & Aesthetic Institute is a growing, ethical, patient-centric eye care center focused on surgical excellence and compassionate service. Who Can apply: - Both Post graduate degree/ diploma / DNB in Ophthalmology , senior surgeons/ freshers can apply. We invite applications from both experienced ophthalmologists and fresh post-MS/DNB candidates. Doctors with a minimum of three years post-PG experience who are confident in performing topical phacoemulsification, including complicated cataract cases, are encouraged to apply for a senior surgical role with competitive salary and performance incentives. Freshers or early-career ophthalmologists who are sincerely interested in developing strong clinical and surgical skills are also welcome. They will initially work in clinical and OT-assisting roles and gradually progress to supervised surgical training based on performance, dedication, and demonstrated competence. The organization believes in building surgeons systematically, maintaining patient safety and ethical standards at every stage. After successfully completing three years of consistent service and growth, all eligible candidates—whether experienced or fresher—will be considered for a fully sponsored fellowship at a reputed national institute, followed by the opportunity to establish their own franchise unit with organizational support, ensuring both professional advancement and long-term financial stability. The salary is negotiable. Key Clinical Responsibilities Cataract care (Topical Phaco; for freshers, training provided with phased progression) OPD & Post-operative care Pterygium surgery (autograft / glue-less techniques) YAG laser procedures Intravitreal injections and lid procedures Preferred (Optional, Training Support Provided): Pediatric cataract Squint surgery Retinal grid/barrage laser Scleral fixation techniques Training & Surgical Responsibility Policy (Important for Freshers) Freshers will not be permitted to operate independently upon joining. A structured training pathway will be followed: Phase 1: Clinical duties, OT observation & assistance Phase 2: Supervised, stepwise surgical training (only when approved) Phase 3: Independent surgery privileges only after demonstrated competence and ethical maturity No patient will ever be used as a practice subject. Surgical permissions are granted only by the Chief Ophthalmologist. Career Growth Pathway After 3 years of satisfactory service: Eligibility for a Fully Sponsored Fellowship at a reputed national institute (4-year post-fellowship bond) After fellowship bond completion: Option to open a Shrestha Eye & Aesthetic Institute franchise in your native location with: Very nominal franchise fee Full clinical, operational & branding support Dual income: Consulting + Franchise Ownership This ensures career stability, financial independence & long-term leadership growth.
