Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Design Engineer Sheet Metal to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies, from concept through to production, ensuring high quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies using software like (SolidWorks, CATIA). Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and other technical documents for new and existing products. Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, procurement, and suppliers to meet project goals. Analyse design challenges and provide robust, cost-effective solutions. Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure GD&T practices are correctly applied. Review and validate prototypes and perform design changes based on test results and feedback. Support and mentor junior design engineers. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and company guidelines. Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in sheet metal design engineering. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA). Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, Welding, etc.). Optional : Hands-on experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis. Good knowledge of materials and surface finishes used in sheet metal components. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Preferred Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. Team player with leadership capabilities.

1. Manage design and development projects from concept to production readiness, including the creation of 2D/3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation. The role supports cross functional coordination with production, quality, and planning teams, and ensures successful execution of customer and internal development projects. 2. Create and manage 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for sheet metal components such as cabins, tanks, hoppers, ducts, bus parts, etc. 3.
