As the Quality Control (QC) Head at our Vapi unit you will be instrumental in ensuring every orthotic product adheres to the highest quality standards. You will manage the entire quality process from concept to production, including overseeing inspections, coordinating testing, collaborating with manufacturing teams, and validating the quality of vendors and components. You are responsible for safeguarding our product integrity, translating design specifications into real-world excellence. Role Description End-to-End Quality Oversight: Lead the entire quality control process—from incoming raw materials through cutting, stitching, assembly, finishing, and final inspection. Quality Standards & SOPs: Establish, implement, and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality benchmarks specific to orthopedic and orthotic fabric-based products (e.g., posture correctors, lumbar sacral belts). Material Inspection: Supervise and approve the inspection of all incoming raw materials—fabrics, elastics, Velcro, fasteners—ensuring they meet specified standards before production. In-Process Quality Checks: Monitor production stages (cutting, stitching, assembly) to identify defects early and prevent wastage or rework. Final Product Testing: Ensure every finished product meets functional, aesthetic, and durability requirements, including fit and safety standards. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Team Management & Training: Lead and mentor the QC team; conduct regular training to reinforce quality standards and best practices. Compliance & Certifications: Ensure adherence to relevant ISO, CE, or other regulatory/industry certifications and customer-specific quality requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve overall quality and efficiency. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with production, design, and procurement teams to address quality-related concerns promptly. Qualifications B.Tech in Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or any related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance in textile, medical devices, or orthotic/orthopedic product manufacturing. Proven track record in managing end-to-end QC operations in a production facility. Strong understanding of ISO 13485, CE marking, or similar medical device quality standards (preferred).
