Job Description: The Medical Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff. Their primary objective is to promote the company's pharmaceutical products, increase product awareness, and drive prescription generation within an assigned territory. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Promotion and Sales Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals. Conduct product presentations and detailing sessions to inform HCPs about product benefits, indications, dosage, and contraindications. 2. Market Development Identify potential markets and customers within the assigned territory. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers. 3. Territory Management Plan and manage sales routes and schedules effectively to cover assigned territory. Maintain detailed records of visits and follow-up actions. 4. Target Achievement Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Monitor competitors' activities and market trends to adjust strategies as needed. 5. Reporting and Documentation Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Document HCP feedback, objections, and queries accurately for follow-up. 6. Product Knowledge Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, medical literature, and industry developments. Attend training sessions and medical conferences as required by the company. 7. Compliance and Ethics Adhere to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards. Ensure that promotional practices comply with relevant laws and codes of conduct. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of medical terminology and product knowledge. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory. Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales is an advantage. Work Conditions: Field-based role requiring frequent travel. May include evening or weekend work for events or conferences.
